Welcome to St Herbert's

Welcome to our school website and a snapshot into what makes our school so special.  We are a thriving, one and a half form entry Catholic primary school with nursery provision located in the heart of Chadderton, Oldham; in the Parish of Divine Mercy, Chadderton and Hollinwood.  

Our school is divided into four age specific phases meaning that our children’s learning and development is more closely aligned to the learning styles appropriate for their age.  We take our responsibility of forming and nurturing the citizens of the future very seriously.  All our children have access to our broad and balanced curriculum and have equal opportunities to succeed.

Our highly skilled staff are united in their determination to ensure that all learning environments are conducive for every child to strive to do their best, and our wider school community are very supportive in all our endeavours.

We are a Catholic school and aspire to find the gift in every child which makes them unique.  Our Christian values underpin all that we do in developing our children’s journey in faith, attitudes and behaviours.  We want our children to become the person they were created to be and to lead a purposeful existence.  At St. Herbert’s, we do not just study our faith, we live it.

We acknowledge that parents are their children’s first educators and play a vital role in educating their children.  We work in unison with parents to ensure that our provision meets everyone’s high expectations so that our children are provided with the best possible start to their lives.
